The centre, which was opened on November 25, 2024, is located in the old Governor's Office at Oke Ori Omi. The centre was established through a partnership between the Ekiti State government and Premium Trust Bank. The bank helped transform empty offices into colourful treatment suites equipped with modern facilities. The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including speech tables, sensory walls, and therapy swings. These facilities are designed to help children with disabilities build confidence, calm anxious minds, and develop balance and joy. The centre provides free services to children with disabilities, including speech, occupational, and physiotherapy sessions. A dedicated bus collects families from every local government area, and each child receives free meals. The centre aims to achieve a 95% transition rate, meaning that almost every child is expected to join a regular classroom within two years. The centre's daily sessions are run by certified professionals and are funded by a special grant line in the education budget. The Ekiti State government has demonstrated its commitment to the centre by providing a one million naira grant to upgrade equipment and caregiver stipends. The government has also established a policy to provide monthly running grants to the centre and audits outcomes to keep standards high. Parents have praised the centre for providing dignity to children with disabilities. The centre has enabled children to learn, play, and socialize with their peers, and has reduced the need for families to travel long distances for basic care. Ekiti
