Kano State Police Command Concludes One-Month Training on Advanced Investigation Tools
The Kano State Police Command has successfully concluded a one-month training program for its State Intelligence Department personnel on the use of advanced tools such as Call Detail Record (CDR), International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) Catcher, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in intelligence gathering and criminal investigation.
The training, which was held from June 16 to July 16, 2025, was designed to enhance the capacity of police personnel in tackling complex crimes and ensuring public safety. The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended the facilitators and participants for their dedication and enthusiasm.
The training was facilitated by a team of experts from Autopsies Forensic Consult LTD, Forensic Investigators' Society of Nigeria, and Pen Test Cyber Security Institute LTD. The police command expects the training to improve the effectiveness of its personnel in intelligence gathering and criminal investigation, contributing to a safer Kano State.
The Commissioner of Police emphasized the significance of the training in enhancing the command's capabilities to tackle complex crimes and ensure public safety. He expressed gratitude to the facilitators and partners for their expertise and support, highlighting the value of continued partnership in enhancing the command's capabilities.
The training is part of the command's efforts to enhance professionalism and investigative efficiency, aligning with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police. With the successful completion of the training, the Kano State Police Command is expected to further strengthen its efforts in maintaining law and order in the state.
