NSCDC, DSS Strengthen Synergy for Improved Security in FCT

 The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Department of State Services (DSS) have reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration and synergy in ensuring improved security in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The NSCDC Commandant, FCT Command, Olusola Odumosu, PhD, received the newly deployed State Director, DSS FCT Command, Usman Dauda, on a familiarization visit to his office in Abuja.


During the meeting, Odumosu emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration in guaranteeing security and safety for citizens. He noted that the NSCDC and DSS have been partners in progress over time, and their duties are intertwined. The Commandant assured the DSS Director of the NSCDC's maximum cooperation in areas of interface, including intelligence sharing and joint security operations.

The DSS Director, Usman Dauda, commended the NSCDC for living up to expectations and sanitizing the territory. He noted that the visit was aimed at building on the existing productive synergy between the two agencies. Dauda assured the NSCDC of the DSS's continued support and collaboration in ensuring peace and security in the FCT.

This strengthened synergy between the NSCDC and DSS may help in several ways:
