POLICE NEUTRALIZE 3 BANDITS, RECOVER 10 AK-47 RIFLES IN INTELLIGENCE-LED OPERATIONS

 The Nigeria Police Force has achieved a significant operational success in recent intelligence-led operations across the country. In July 2025, operatives of the Force Intelligence Department-Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT) neutralized three armed bandits during several armed encounters in Taraba, Plateau, Adamawa, Nassarawa, and Niger States.


Ten AK-47 rifles were recovered from the bandits, which were linked to various criminal activities, including kidnappings, armed robberies, gunrunning, and cattle rustling. The rifles were abandoned by the bandits during intense gunfire exchanges with police operatives.

Follow-up tactical operations are ongoing to track, identify, and apprehend fleeing members of the syndicates already indicted to be masterminds of deadly attacks on communities in the affected states.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has reaffirmed the Force's unyielding resolve to uphold national security. He emphasized that the Nigeria Police Force will continue to sustain and intensify intelligence-led operations to dismantle all criminal enterprises.

Citizens are encouraged to continue supporting the Police with actionable intelligence by reporting any suspicious activity to nearby police formations or via official channels.

 The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, has arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate in the Second United Nations (UN) Food Systems Summit. The summit is scheduled to take place from July 27 to 29, 2025. Don't Come to Edo State Without Telling Me, If You Do Your Security Will Never Be Guaranteed

 Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has indeed warned Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, against visiting the state without obtaining necessary security clearance. This warning comes after Obi's recent visit to Benin City on July 7, where he donated ₦15 million to St. Philomena Hospital School of Nursing Sciences. The governor linked Obi's visit to a resurgence of violence in the state, which reportedly resulted in three deaths shortly after Obi's departure. Okpebholo questioned the source of the ₦15 million donation, saying, "That man who says he has no ‘shishi’ came and dropped ₦15 million. Where did he get it from?"
